Duties

  • Greet guests with enthusiasm and a positive attitude, providing a memorable first impression.
  • Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
  • Maintain waitlists and communicate wait times clearly to guests, ensuring transparency and patience.
  • Assist guests with inquiries about menu items, restaurant policies, and special accommodations through excellent communication skills.
  • Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to optimize seating flow and minimize wait times.
  • Handle guest concerns or complaints promptly, demonstrating strong guest relations and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ensure the dining area is clean, organized, and welcoming at all times, adhering to hospitality standards.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a host or host in a busy restaurant environment is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
  • Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries.
  • Familiarity with food service operations and restaurant workflows.
  • Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
  • Experience in hotel or hospitality settings enhances guest relations capabilities.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanor under pressure.
