Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. This role is essential in providing exceptional guest services, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth seating operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service and hospitality, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences. This position offers an opportunity to be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their visit.

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists efficiently
  • Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
  • Handle reservations and seating arrangements using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
  • Manage guest inquiries both in person and over the phone with professional phone etiquette
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station
  • Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service
  • Assist with guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously
  • Support other front-of-house operations as needed to ensure a seamless dining experience

Skills

  • Prior host/host experience preferred, especially within food service or restaurant environments
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations and guest services standards
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with hotel or hospitality industry experience is advantageous but not required
