About the Role

Lead Global Trade Compliance for the Broadband Communications Systems Sector within a major Defense Communications organization. This is a high-impact, on-site leadership role overseeing strategy, compliance execution, and a team of 8 Trade Compliance professionals. You will own policy development, export authorization oversight, risk management, and partner closely with BD, Program Management, Operations, Engineering, and corporate compliance leadership.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and mentor all Sector Trade Compliance teams
  • Serve as an Empowered Official and ensure compliant execution of export/import activities
  • Interpret ITAR, EAR, OFAC, and U.S. sanctions regulations
  • Develop and enforce trade compliance policies, processes, and training
  • Oversee export licenses, CJ requests, and compliance documentation
  • Support audits, investigations, and Compliance Assistance Visits
  • Ensure trade compliance is embedded early in major international opportunities
  • Collaborate with senior leadership across the business
  • Travel up to 20% domestically

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's + 12+ years export/import compliance (or 16+ years in lieu of degree)
  • 3+ years leading high-performing teams
  • 5+ years ITAR and EAR experience
  • 5+ years OFAC / U.S. sanctions experience
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with OCR EASE
  • FMS, military, or technical background
  • Category XI
  • Strong communication, leadership, and risk assessment skills
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage shifting priorities
