What you'll do

  • Oversee daily operations of the shop, ensuring high standards of customer service and store presentation.
  • Lead, train, and develop a motivated team through effective employee orientation and ongoing training initiatives.
  • Manage inventory control processes to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize shrinkage.
  • Handle payroll and bookkeeping tasks accurately to maintain financial integrity.
  • Implement merchandising strategies that enhance product visibility and drive sales.
  • Utilize point-of-sale (POS) systems for efficient transaction processing and cash handling.
  • Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and team management.
  • Analyze sales data and retail math to make informed decisions on pricing and purchasing.

Basic qualifications

  • Proven experience in retail management or as an assistant manager with supervisory responsibilities.
  • Strong negotiation skills to effectively manage vendor relationships and pricing strategies.

Preferred qualifications

  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities to better serve our diverse customer base.
  • Experience in recruiting, interviewing, and training new employees.
  • Familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus.
