University employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package that includes excellent healthcare, retirement plans, tuition assistance, paid time off, and a winter recess.Job DescriptionPOSITION OBJECTIVEThe Senior Director of Leadership Volunteer Engagement is responsible for developing and executing a strategic framework to engage high-level leadership volunteers at Case Western Reserve University. This includes oversight of all trustee-related programs and initiatives that support institutional advancement and philanthropic growth. The role requires a seasoned professional with demonstrated expertise in board relations, volunteer management, and cross-functional project leadership. The Senior Director will collaborate closely with senior university officials, including the Office of the President and the Board of Trustees, to ensure volunteer engagement efforts are strategically aligned with the university's mission and priorities. This position plays a critical role in cultivating relationships with key stakeholders, including alumni, parents, and friends of the university, to enhance volunteer contributions and strengthen long-term support for Case Western Reserve.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSSupervise the director of trustee programs and provide strategic support and direction for all trustee programs activities. Build strong relationships with the Office of the President, Board of Trustees leaders and members, Office of General Counsel and other key administrative and academic leadership across campus. (35%)Collaborate with partners across the university to establish and maintain a varied pool of alumni, parents and friends suitable for various volunteer positions, ranging from entry-level to senior-level roles. Maintain central records regarding individual school pipelines, outstanding alumni, key donors and volunteers who could be featured in storytelling and considered for honors and awards. Work collaboratively with the Alumni Association, the Offices of Principal Gifts and National Development, school-based development teams, Prospect Management and Prospect Research to maintain and refresh aggregate pipelines to ensure that full consideration is being given to a varied group of alumni, donors and prospective donors and thought leaders across all schools. Develop and maintain an inventory of high-level volunteer opportunities to present to volunteers and potential volunteers to help advance relations with and support of Case Western Reserve. (30%)Develop, implement and measure the success of Case Western Reserve's leadership volunteer engagement strategy with the goal of increasing philanthropy for the university. Identify and track metrics that provide a comprehensive overview of volunteer engagement to guide Case Western Reserve University's volunteer engagement strategy. Work across schools and central departments to ensure effective volunteer engagement data tracking to provide accurate benchmarking data for the annual Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) alumni engagement survey. (25%)Work with the Senior Vice President of University Relations and Development to staff the University Relations and Development Committee of the Board of Trustees. Create compelling meeting agendas and corresponding materials including presentations, reports and talking points. Work with faculty and staff presenters to ensure their presentations and remarks are aligned with committee goals. Work directly with the chair of the University Relations and Development Committee and the Senior Vice President to plan and execute the Trustee Annual Campaign.
