We at Eastbrook Healthcare Center are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Activities Director to oversee and coordinate a vibrant and engaging program of recreational and social activities for our community. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for promoting well-being, fostering connection, and enhancing the quality of life for our members. The Activities Director will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating a variety of activities that cater to diverse interests and abilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. **Program Development:**

  2. Design and implement a comprehensive calendar of activities that includes arts and crafts, fitness classes, games, social events, and educational workshops.

  3. Assess the needs and interests of the community to create programs that enhance participation and engagement.

  4. Collaborate with local organizations, businesses, and volunteers to expand program offerings and resources.

  5. **Event Coordination:**

  6. Organize and oversee special events, parties, and seasonal celebrations.

  7. Manage logistics, including venue selection, equipment rental, catering, and marketing efforts for events.

  8. **Leadership and Staff Management:**

  9. Supervise, train, and support activity staff and volunteers to ensure effective program delivery.

  10. Foster a positive team environment that encourages creativity and collaboration.

  11. **Budget Management:**

  12. Develop and manage the activities budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.

  13. Seek sponsorship opportunities and grants to support activities and events.

  14. **Safety and Well-Being:**

  15. Ensure all activities and programs comply with safety regulations and best practices.

  16. Promote inclusion and accessibility within all programs.

  17. **Evaluation and Reporting:**

  18. Assess the effectiveness of programs and activities through participant feedback and attendance metrics.

  19. Prepare and present regular reports to management on program success and areas for improvement.

Compensation and Schedule:

  • Pay: Negotiable
  • Full-Time Shifts
  • 40 hours a wek
  • Location: Cleveland, Ohio

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must be a Certified Activities Director
  • A minimum of 1 year experience working in a Nursing Home Facility
