The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia Medical Center is seeking a part-time pathologist for the position of Section Director of the Transfusion Service.
Job Description
The candidate must be a diplomate of the American Board of Pathology (AP/CP or CP only), and BE/BC in Transfusion Medicine.
Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia Medical Center is a tertiary care hospital with 700 beds, with an active trauma, solid organ transplant, and obstetric service. The Transfusion Service is AABB and CAP certified. It is staffed with a manager, quality officer, and two lead technicians overseeing the laboratory.
The candidate is expected to have a solid understanding of all regulatory requirements. She/he is expected to have excellent leadership, organizational and communication skills.
The calls will be shared with the Jefferson Enterprise Transfusion Pathologists.
The successful candidate will be eligible for an academic appointment at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital (TJUH).
Compensation and benefits are competitive with similar institutions in the area.
This position is part-time.
