Warehouse Associate Technician/Inventory-Hybrid Role

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Associate/Technician located in Lubbock, TX who can effectively manage the receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing, and timely dispatch of a diverse range of products. It will be your responsibility to ensure that productivity targets are met, and all warehouse processes run smoothly and promptly. Additionally, you will work with a team of 3-5 delivery drivers who make 2-6 stops per day and making deliveries with them. It's important to note that we are a government contractor providing durable medical equipment services to the Department of Veteran's Affairs.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist warehouse manager in implementing company policies and vision
  • Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations
  • Optimize warehouse layout for efficient space utilization
  • Establish and enforce operational policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with warehousing, handling, and shipping regulations
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, hygiene, and security
  • Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system
  • Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and transport companies
  • Monitor service quality and gather feedback
  • Help other departments such as going on the road with technicians or helping with scheduling etc.
  • Ability to assist other technicians as needed with deliveries
  • Perform other assigned duties as required

Skills:

  • Proficient in warehouse management procedures and best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to implement process improvement initiatives
  • Sound knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Hands-on experience with warehouse management software and databases
  • Strong leadership skills and capability to manage staff
  • Effective decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team player to help with technician deliveries when needed
  • Assists warehouse personnel as necessary
  • Assists with cleaning warehouse and other areas

Technical Aptitude:

  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
  • Willingness to travel extensively at times, sometimes at short notice, and on your own up to 1.5 hours for Access, Ramps, and DME (Durable Medical Equipment)
  • This position requires travel to patient homes and meeting locations.
  • Home medical equipment (HME) delivery and setup
  • Working with elderly or patients with limited mobility

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
    Warehouse Operations experience- - 1 to 3 years required
    Warehouse Inventory Control experience and related software- - 1 to 3 years required
    Customer Service- - 1 to 3 years required
    Computer proficiency – SalesForce preferred; Word, Excel, Outlook- - 1 to 3 years required
  • Ability to pass a Background Check and Drug Test

Salary:

  • $ $20.00 per hour
  • Overtime as needed

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shift
  • Monday to Friday 8a to 4:30p
  • Weekends as needed
