Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and highly capable HR Business Partner for a once in a lifetime opportunity to provide support to the FAA's Brand New Air Traffic Control System (BNATCS) program. As part of this effort, Team Parsons is partnering closely with the FAA to modernize the national air traffic control system. This role is perfect for a proactive, mission oriented hands-on HR professional who is ready to help develop and implement impactful HR solutions aligned with the program strategy.

This role will report directly into the FAA HR team and work closely with Team Parsons Program leadership. The successful candidate will be remote and occasionally expected to attend in person meetings in Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C. They may also be expected to occasionally travel to other U.S. locations as required.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Serve as a trusted partner to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including compensation, employee relations, talent development, organizational design, change management, and more.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations concerns, with empathy, objectivity, and thoroughness that lead to thoughtful recommendations and solutions
  • Manage company-wide initiatives for your teams (e.g., merit planning, goal setting, organizational changes, etc.)
  • Support training efforts on a variety of topics to include manager development, compensation, performance management, and more.
  • Coach managers through all stages of performance management, compensation practices, communications, and retention strategies
  • Lead with data and analytics to drive business insights and help inform decision making
  • Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence to provide seamless HR support and guidance to the business

Qualities/Skills you possess

  • A bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or a related field
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience
  • Experience in a federal or defense contracting environment
  • Strong understanding of employment related laws and HR compliance
  • Excel in communication, written and verbal, difficult conversations and problem solving
  • Ability to prioritize, quickly shift gears and be resourceful
  • Ability to establish strong and productive partnerships with managers and employees
  • Business acumen and critical thinking skills
  • Action and results-oriented

  • Workday experience
  • Professional certification, Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR)
  • FAA Experience – direct employment or support an FAA program
