We are seeking a highly motivated, customer-oriented SecOps Lead Systems Engineerto join our team. This role focuses on leading security initiatives, managing enterprise systems, and ensuring compliance, monitoring, and incident response across IT infrastructure.

To be considered for this position, US Citizenship and an active Secret security clearance is required. This is a funded position and is contingent upon verification of a security clearance prior to starting with Cloudshape.

Primary Duties Include but Are Not Limited To:

• Lead day-to-day security operations, monitoring, and incident response activities.
• Design, implement, and manage security controls across servers, networks, and cloud environments.
• Collaborate with IT, network, and application teams to enforce security policies and best practices.
• Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability management, and system audits.
• Automate security workflows, alerts, and reporting using scripts or security tools.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on security operations and system hardening.
• Maintain documentation, generate reports, and support compliance initiatives.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree
• 6+ years of experience
• An ability to work independently, multi-task, and communicate effectively will be required for this role.
• US Citizen with an active Secret security clearance
• Strong knowledge of security tools, monitoring, vulnerability management, and incident response.
• Experience with Linux, Windows, cloud platforms, and network security concepts.
• Familiarity with automation and scripting for security and system tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
