Job Overview:
Working in an international orientated, automotive driven development team, we offer insights in different working fields of electrical engineering. Team members get the possibility to work on E/E components. Analyze vehicle harnesses, digital network topologies or implement software releases during the ongoing ramp up. The intern will work in interdisciplinary teams ensuring functional suitability of the components. Close coordinating with adjoining departments such as assembly planning, quality, logistics and the development departments back in Germany will be daily work.
Responsibilities:
- Support with technical upfitter solutions in the role of a development engineer
- Lead projects for future upfitter solutions from a technical perspective
- Work closely with other departments, i.e. Sales engineering, quality, logistics, upfitter management
- Collaborate with HQ development for detailed technical analysis
- Review complex mechanical and electrical technical integration of vehicle upfits on to the Mercedes-Benz chassis
- Support workshop activities to build prototypes and demo vans
- Support with meetings, presentations and documentation
- Create and present technical presentations for executive level management
- Provide transparency of project related action items (status reports)
Qualifikationen
- Having graduated within the past 12 months or currently working towards a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in electrical Engineering or relevant degree is required to participate in the intern program. Enthusiast in overall vehicle development. First practical experience preferable.
- All candidates should be available for a 6 months full time internship
- Applicants should be eager, driven, focused, hard-working individuals that are ready to assist a growing company with handling a complex multi-million dollar project. He or she should be willing to learn and be taught skills from experienced members of the team. The individual should be self-motivated and interested in adding value and making a difference within an organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Student for Master/Bachelor of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar
- Experience on Project Management
- Experience with automotive industry preferred
- German language skills are a plus
