Overview
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for selling commercial cleaning services to diversified clients, including offices, schools, medical facilities, and industrial properties. Your goal will be to build strong client relationships, identify customer needs, drive sales growth, and ensure newly won accounts are handed off to operations smoothly.
Pay will be a base salary plus commission.
Responsibilities
- Prospect and generate leads through cold calling, networking, and referrals
- Meet with potential clients to understand their janitorial needs and present tailored service solutions
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and quotes
- Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities and meet/exceed sales targets
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients
- Collaborate with operations and customer service teams to ensure service delivery aligns with client expectations
- Stay up to date on cleaning methods, industry trends, products, and competitors
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline progress, and client interactions in the company CRM
Requirements
- 2 years previous experience in outside sales, preferably in janitorial, commercial cleaning, or facility services
- Must be willing to travel regionally on a monthly basis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong negotiation and closing abilities
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if travel is required)
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree a plus
- Bilingual – English/ Spanish is a plus.
- Fluent in computer skills including the Microsoft Suite. Will also work in internal software programs.
- The ability to adapt to situations quickly and effectively.
- Willing to think outside of the box to improve efficiencies.
- Extreme attention to detail
