,Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Assistant Property Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the daily operations of property management, ensuring that all aspects of property leasing, maintenance, and tenant relations are handled efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of landlord-tenant law, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage conflicts effectively.

Duties

  • Assist in managing property leasing activities, including tenant screenings and lease agreements.
  • Maintain compliance with Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant laws.
  • Utilize property management software such as Appfolio and OneSite for data entry, filing, and customer relationship management.
  • Handle tenant inquiries and resolve conflicts through effective communication and negotiation.
  • Coordinate property maintenance requests using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Support administrative tasks, including filing, phone etiquette, and general office duties.
  • Engage in upselling services to enhance tenant satisfaction and retention.
  • Collaborate with facilities management to ensure properties are well-maintained and meet safety standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to tenants and prospective residents.

Experience

Candidates should possess a background in property management or real estate administration. Preferred qualifications include:

  • Knowledge of LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) programs.
  • Familiarity with Section 8 housing regulations.
  • Experience in legal administration related to property management contracts.
  • Strong conflict management skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
  • Previous experience in sales or upselling within a property management context is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and office organization.
