The General Manager (GM), reporting to the CEO, is responsible for the strategic, operational, and financial performance of a Hallmark's Provider Enablement technology solution set. The GM will drive product vision, growth, and profitability while ensuring alignment with the company's overall objectives. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, operational excellence, and deep understanding of healthcare technology and client needs. This is a cross-functional leadership role that blends deep subject matter expertise with strong executive sponsorship, guiding how compensation position, sell, deploy, and support this offering at scale.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Product Leadership
Define and execute the product line's vision, strategy, and roadmap in coordination with CRO, CTO and Product Leadership team.
- Serve as the organization's foremost subject matter expert in provider compensation and contract management, helping shape internal strategy and supporting external thought leadership.
- In partnership with Hallmark's product and commercial teams, identify market opportunities, emerging trends, and competitive positioning.
Ensure alignment with the company's overall business goals and growth strategy.
Financial and P&L Management
Own the product line's P&L, including revenue growth, profitability, and cost management.
- Monitor financial performance, track KPIs, and implement corrective actions when needed.
Make data-driven decisions to maximize ROI and sustainable growth
Product Development & Innovation
Collaborate with product management, engineering, and design teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Drive innovation, integrating healthcare trends like AI, analytics, and interoperability
In partnership with delivery and product teams, reimagine the deployment process to shorten time-to-value and improve standardization.
Market & Customer Focus
Build strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Maintain deep understanding of customer needs, workflows, and pain points in healthcare.
- Provide thought leadership around scalable delivery models, including playbooks, implementation paths, and appropriate use of external resources or tooling.
Gather customer feedback to inform product strategy and drive adoption.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Responsible for Client Success to define the client experience, translating product specific needs into actionable guidance for CS teams.
- Coordinate across sales, marketing, and operations.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Act as the central point of communication between the product line and executive leadership.
Compliance, Risk, and Quality Oversight
Ensure product compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, FDA, etc.).
- Maintain focus on quality, usability, and reliability for healthcare clients.
Key Qualifications
- Proven Leadership Experience – 10+ years leading teams, ideally in provider enablement / physician compensation space.
- Financial Acumen – Strong P&L management experience, with ability to drive revenue and profitability.
- Healthcare Industry Knowledge – Deep institutional knowledge of the product and its history, paired with a vision for its future. Understanding of physician compensation workflows, regulations, and market dynamics.
- Strategic & Analytical Thinking – Ability to make data-driven decisions, prioritize initiatives, and evaluate market opportunities.
- Excellent Communication & Collaboration Skills – Ability to inspire teams, influence executives, and build strong client relationships.
