Entry Level Manufacturing Engineer- Production Line

The Manufacturing Engineer will support first shift production within a clean room environment for a leading medical device operation. This role focuses on providing direct support to operators, responding to production escalations, analyzing scrap and yield issues, and fostering a strong, collaborative operations environment. The position requires frequent interaction on the manufacturing floor and active participation in troubleshooting, coaching, and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct engineering support on the manufacturing floor within a clean room environment for most of the day
• Respond to production escalations related to scrap, quality concerns, process questions, and equipment errors
• Collaborate closely with operators to build strong working relationships and provide coaching as needed
• Conduct scrap dissections and support yield improvement activities
• Perform basic equipment troubleshooting to minimize downtime
• Participate in ergonomic and safety-related improvement initiatives
• Support first shift production from 5:30 AM to 3:30 PM Monday through Thursday with some flexibility for coverage
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work proactively and independently
• Strong problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to build positive relationships across teams
• Patience and adaptability when working with diverse personalities and cultures
• Ability to work onsite daily in Plymouth, Minnesota
Preferred Qualifications:
• Up to three years of relevant engineering or production support experience
• Experience supporting day-to-day front-line manufacturing operations
• Medical device industry experience
• Hands-on experience through internships or similar roles
• Experience in teaching, tutoring, or related activities that demonstrate coaching ability

Pay Range: $30/hr to $38/hr
