SkyWater is partnering with an existing client in the North Metro to find a Manufacturing Engineer for their growing team This is a brand-new role created due to growth and customer demand. The Manufacturing Engineer will mainly be responsible for designing & implementing tooling & fixtures to be used in our client's manufacturing processes. This person will also look for manufacturing process improvements, training operators & technicians, and partner with internal engineering teams on projects. Our client is a mid-sized, aerospace/defense manufacturer who's been consistently growing year-over-year due to customer demand. Responsibilities

  • Design, modify, and implement tooling & fixtures for production.
  • Train operators & technicians on tooling use and provide technical support.
  • Look for manufacturing process improvements and cost-savings opportunities.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams as needed (design, production, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues as needed.
  • Other duties or responsibilities as assigned.

Desired Skills And Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, tooling, or a similar engineering role (or combination of roles).
  • Experience working in a tight-tolerance or high precision manufacturing environment highly preferred (medical, aerospace, etc.).
  • Ability to prioritize work responsibilities and manage multiple tasks at a time.
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal & written).
