Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in fine dining or catering environments. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality meals while ensuring food safety and maintaining a clean kitchen environment.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
  • Assist in menu planning and development to enhance the dining experience
  • Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety guidelines
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
  • Handle food items safely and efficiently, adhering to proper food handling procedures
  • Participate in inventory management, including ordering and stocking supplies as needed
  • Support catering events by preparing meals and assisting with presentation

Skills

  • Proven experience in the culinary field, preferably within fine dining or catering settings
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and meal preparation
  • Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various kitchen equipment
  • Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Experience in menu planning and creativity in meal presentation is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and teamwork mentality to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff
  • Previous experience as a dietary aide or within the dietary department is advantageous
