Overview
The Global Sales & Marketing Manager will support the Global Sales and Marketing Teams in driving occupancy, revenue growth and exceptional client experience across the studios. This role combines proactive sales pipeline management with strong organizational and administrative skills. The Sales & Marketing Manager plays a critical part in driving revenue growth, optimizing service delivery, and developing long-term business relationships with production clients, studios, and industry partners in Los Angeles and beyond. This role oversees campaign development, digital marketing, event promotion, and content creation to ensure brand consistency and visibility across all channels. The Sales & Marketing Manager collaborates with internal teams and external partners to implement effective marketing initiatives that align with the company's overall objectives
Job Responsibilities - What You'll Do
Market & Industry Insight Leadership
- Heavy emphasis on this role is strong industry relationships – it will require someone with a deep rolodex and the ability to be "out in the field" actively representing Shadowbox - at key events, lunches, dinners. Someone who has the initiative and the ability to strategize.
- Regularly review industry updates, including Prod Pro and market reports, and share relevant insights with the sales team.
- Prepare market summaries and recommendations to support the global sales team's strategic planning.
- Maintain and evolve a comprehensive market intelligence library to support sales and marketing efforts.
Supplier & Vendor Market Intelligence Oversight
- Oversee the tracking of market signals, updates, and opportunities provided by suppliers and vendors.
- Assess and escalate commercial opportunities or risks to the VP of Global Sales.
- Establish a regular reporting process to ensure valuable insights are captured and shared.
Lead Qualification & Initial Engagement
- Qualify leads by gathering production details, required space, timelines, and relevant technical requirements.
- Determine initial viability and strategic value of enquiries and guide them through the sales process in coordination with senior sales leadership.
Pipeline Management & Commercial Tracking
- Own and manage the day-to-day accuracy of the full leasing tracker and sales pipeline.
- Ensure accurate, current data on all opportunities, including value, likelihood, timelines and next steps.
- Produce clear, insightful pipeline reports and commercial summaries for the Sales Director and leadership team.
- Identify potential gaps in the pipeline and proactively generate new business opportunities.
Client Database & CRM Ownership
- Take full responsibility for the accuracy, segmentation, and maintenance of the booking system.
- Ensure all notes, preferences and engagement history are captured for strategic follow-up.
- Use market data to support targeted outreach and pipeline development.
Internal Collaboration & Stakeholder Coordination
- Work closely with Sales Coordinator and other internal stakeholders to ensure seamless communication.
- Contribute ideas and feedback to internal sales and marketing processes to enhance efficiency and client satisfaction.
Client Relationship Management & Entertainment
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, prospects, and industry partners.
- Represent Shadowbox Studios at events, meetings, and hospitality engagements.
- Proactively host and entertain clients to strengthen relationships and support deal progression.
- Representing the brand professionally, serving as a front-line ambassador for Shadowbox, reflecting the studio's values and commercial ambitions.
Marketing Specific
- Oversee digital marketing initiatives, including social media, website content and email campaigns
- Manage the development of marketing collateral, promotional materials, and advertising campaigns
- Analyze market trends, audience insights, and competitive landscapes to inform and support marketing strategy development.
- Plan and execute event marketing initiatives, including industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of marketing campaigns
- Ensure brand consistency across all communication channels and marketing materials
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in marketing and digital engagement
Qualifications - What You'll Bring
Required
- Proven track record of success in sales, leasing, business development or account management with demonstrated ability to source and close deals, and drive revenue growth (experience in media, production, real estate or studio sectors strongly preferred).
- Strong organizational skills with proven experience managing multiple tasks, stakeholders, and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident dealing with clients and senior stakeholders.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling data and documentation.
- Proficiency in marketing analytics, reporting tools, and CRM platforms
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office / Google Workspace and CRM or tracker tools (e.g. Excel-based trackers, Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.).
Preferred
- Experience within the film, TV, media, or studio/real estate environment.
- Previous involvement in managing sales pipelines or leasing processes.
- Proactive, with a "follow-through" mentality – takes ownership and closes the loop.
- Commercially aware and actively tracking market trends and competitor activity.
- Client-focused, with a professional and approachable manner.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Collaborative and team-oriented, while able to work independently when required.
The position needs to be based in Los Angeles.
