Requirements: As a retail grocer, we operate 7 days/week and 365 days/year and as such work in support of our stores may include evening and weekend hours per the needs of the business.

About the role: In this position, you will conduct various recruiting processes and work closely with the Recruiting and Store Leadership teams in order to attract, source, screen and interview candidates for store openings. You will be responsible for scheduling interviews, creating talent pools, onboarding and partnering with Department Managers and HR Business Partners to find talent and execute on recruitment goals and initiatives.

Position Responsibilities:
- Schedule and conducts screens and interviews for store requisitions. Comfortable managing fluctuating and a high volume of requisitions.
- Works as part of the recruiting team to maintain a robust and proactive recruiting process. Creatively sources and hires the most qualified candidates in a reasonable timeframe and within pre-set budgets.
- Provides full-service recruiting support including sourcing, screening, communication and onboarding of new hires. Main point of contact and liaison between stores and candidates.
- Maintain accurate and organized documentation on all candidates, searches, and onboarding activities.
- Demonstrates a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusivity in the hiring process and helps in the building of strong teams and the development of people at all levels.
- Leverage multiple recruiting sources in addition to internet sourcing techniques to identify and connect with potential candidates.
- Partner with Recruiting Team and Store Leadership to understand the talent needs of the store and create an effective search strategy to fill open positions and build candidate pipelines.
- Build relationships with potential candidates on a continual basis through e-mail, calls, and networking.
- Generate leads and source passive candidates through LinkedIn, Indeed, community events, etc.
- Screen potential candidates for availability, interest level, salary range, etc.
- Tools and Equipment Used (not all inclusive): This position works with standard office equipment. May be required to use the following tools and equipment when working in stores or offsite; baler, hand truck, POS, industrial kitchen equipment (i.e. blast chiller, grill, knives/blades, oven, grills, scales, etc.) and basic housekeeping / janitorial items.
- This position works consistently at a light work level and may be asked to work on occasion at a medium or heavy work level when supporting stores or other offsite events. Frequently required to sit, walk, reach and grasp. Occasionally required to be on feet with a mix of standing and walking throughout shift. Up to occasionally, dependent on location, required to climb stairs, step stool and /or ladders.

What you Bring as a Candidate:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of HR, recruiting and/or sourcing experience required.
- Experience with high volume, full cycle recruiting required. Experience sourcing, screening, recruiting for hourly workforce highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to be highly detail oriented.
- Experience in a multi-unit, high-growth retail or food industry environment highly preferred.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Previous experience with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including tact and diplomacy, to collaborate, negotiate and communicate effectively and professionally with cross-functional partners at all levels in the company.
- Demonstrated project management skills with an ability to manage and deliver multiple and complex projects cross-functionally by collaborating with others across the region.
- Collaborative, strategic thinker and problem solver, with a demonstrated ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with ability to respond to urgent job responsibilities as they arise and flexible when priorities redirect.
- Ability to travel across all Portland – Metro and Vancouver, WA store locations, offsite career fairs, community events and meetings when needed/necessary.
Physical and Environmental Work Space: Work occurs in office, a variety of off-site environments and in a grocery store environment which includes surfaces that can be wet and slippery, moderate noise level, and temperature extremes in controlled environments in the cooler and freezer, and depending on location, working outside in all temperatures.
