Since its inception in 1905, the Carnegie Mellon Department of Chemical Engineering has been on the leading edge of research and innovation in chemical engineering. Today, this is more true than ever. The Department of Chemical Engineering (CHEG) is seeking a highly motivated and talented full-time Research Assistant for the Robinson research lab.

Core Responsibilities:

• Follows research plans in order to collect, record, and manipulate research data. Maintains accurate and detailed research records and files.
• May test software prototypes. May interact with research subjects in order to perform job functions.
• Performs basic data analysis in order to product reports. Documents results and processes.
• Performs library research and field explorations.
• Performs related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• MS in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Interdisciplinary strength in Bioengineering
• A strong research record including academic experience.
• Strong verbal/written communication skills.
• Highly motivated and creative, enjoys working in a collaborative research environment
• A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
