Job Description

The Corporate Accountant plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the accounting department. This position is responsible for journal entries, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and audit support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organized.

Responsibilities

• Execute month-end close processes to meet reporting deadlines.
• Prepare and record journal entries and reconcile accounts across multiple entities.
• Analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statements.
• Investigate and resolve variances in account reconciliations; collaborate with peers and escalate issues to the Accounting Manager when necessary.
• Contribute to the preparation of annual audited financial statements.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support financial operations and reporting.
• Document policies, procedures, and workflows for assigned responsibilities.
• Participate in ad-hoc and recurring projects to provide financial analysis and drive process improvements.
• Analyze lease and owner payment data; recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA candidate preferred.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in industries including lease accounting.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulatory standards.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other MS Office applications.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP/accounting systems preferred.
• Self-motivated and effective in both independent and team-oriented environments.
• Strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

This position requires on-site work from Monday to Friday. Overtime is required during peak periods, including month-end and year-end closures.
