Job Description

As a Senior Corporate Tax Accountant, you will be instrumental in managing federal and state corporate tax compliance, preparing returns, tax provision reporting, and strategic tax planning. You will collaborate across departments, leverage advanced tax technology, and contribute to high-impact projects that shape the company's financial future.

Responsibilities

• Prepare federal and state corporate income tax returns, estimates, extensions, and provisions using CORPTAX.
• Lead tax compliance initiatives with a focus on automation and efficiency.
• Conduct in-depth tax research on diverse issues including IRC, state income tax, sales tax, international tax, and manufacturing accounting methods.
• Assist with quarterly and annual tax provision calculations and reporting.
• Respond to IRS and state tax authority inquiries and audits.
• Stay current on evolving tax laws and regulations impacting the business.
• Support indirect tax functions, including sales and property tax compliance.
• Manage fixed assets using SAGE and prepare tangible property tax returns.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support tax planning and special projects.
• Maximize use of technology to efficiently complete tax compliance functions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's in Taxation or Accounting preferred.
• CPA certification strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in corporate income taxation, including multi-state.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong tax research, writing, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively.

Work Environment

This position offers a hybrid work schedule, with 2 days from home and increased flexibility as tenure progresses. The role is based in a beautiful office located in downtown WPB.
