A leading financial services and consumer finance company based in Fort Lauderdale seeks a
Corporate Controller
to join its leadership team. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance activities to support the company's continued growth.

About The Role
The Corporate Controller will manage the accounting department and ensure accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP. This position will work closely with executive leadership on financial planning, risk management, audit preparation, and operational efficiency initiatives.

This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for an experienced finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
Lead all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and treasury.

Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

Prepare financial statements in compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.

Develop and maintain internal controls and policies to safeguard company assets.

Oversee compliance with federal, state, and local reporting requirements, including tax filings.

Partner with external auditors for annual financial audits.

Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis initiatives.

Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic planning and business optimization efforts.

Implement process improvements to drive efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across financial operations.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred).

7–10+ years of accounting and finance experience, preferably in financial services, lending, or consumer finance industries.

Deep understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to build, manage, and mentor a finance team.

Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.

High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and excellent problem-solving skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
