THE POSITION:
At STACK, the Director of Community Engagement role is responsible for leading community engagement initiatives related to the development, execution, and operation of data centers near El Paso, TX. The Director of Community Engagement is also responsible for building stakeholder coalitions and collaborating with industry partners, STACK's clients, and other key partners in achieving favorable outcomes in the Texas communities STACK is a part of.
This role will primarily partner with the local community, and our Construction, Development and Operations teams to develop, maintain, and advance Community Engagement initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead community engagement efforts in conjunction with the priorities of the business and our clients in the region
- Manage relationships with community leaders and partners, industry coalitions, and regional associations focused on economic development
- Develop and maintain a strong community relationship and engagement strategy that cultivates positive relationships for STACK with the communities we're a part of and the stakeholders STACK partners with
- Support the market assessment for potential new sites in the region, helping identify potential opportunities for new and existing data center development
- Present to leadership on community engagement community dynamics, opportunities to advance STACK's impact in the community, and how they intersect with business goals
- Partner with the Development teams to support individual projects and market level initiatives
MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in a business, policy, or communications discipline advantageous, but not required
- Significant prior experience in community engagement
- Significant experience providing communications to internal and external stakeholder at all levels, including company executives
- Some prior experience in industrial, energy, network, or data center infrastructure
- Proficiency in the Spanish language
