Regional Facilities Director

The Regional Facilities Director – National is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and capital improvement of hotel properties across multiple properties across the United States. This role plays a key part in preserving the operational excellence, safety, and sustainability of the company's hotel portfolio.
This position requires periodic site visits and hands-on involvement when necessary, coupled with a strong emphasis on vendor coordination, contract management, and strategic project oversight.
The role requires a strong understanding of hotel infrastructure systems, a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues, and the ability to work collaboratively across hotel operations and corporate support teams.
Essential Functions:
Serve as the primary facilities liaison for assigned hotels nationwide, building strong partnerships with property and operations leadership.
Coordinate, evaluate, and manage national and regional vendor relationships, ensuring accountability for quality, safety, responsiveness, and cost control.
Develop, issue, and analyze RFPs for recurring maintenance services, capital projects, and specialized repairs; negotiate contracts to achieve best-value outcomes.
Review and assess facility reports, maintenance logs, and property feedback to prioritize needs and identify long-term capital planning opportunities.
Oversee execution of CapEx and renovation projects, ensuring work quality, budget adherence, and minimal disruption to operations.
Provide limited hands-on support during critical incidents or inspections (e.g., HVAC failure, structural damage, water intrusion) as required.
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure facilities solutions align with company goals and brand standards.
Support preventive maintenance programs and sustainability initiatives to enhance asset longevity and reduce operational costs.
Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, safety standards, and brand specifications.
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting (e.g., WorkOasis or other project tracking platforms).
Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in facilities management, engineering, or building systems operations in a multi-site environment.
Technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, and general building maintenance.
Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and reference blueprints, manuals, or technical documentation as needed.
Trade school, technical certifications, or formal training in facilities-related disciplines strongly preferred.
Hospitality, restaurant, retail, or service-industry experience is highly desirable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and comfort with facilities management software.
Strong project management, time management, and organizational skills.
Effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to influence and support operations teams without direct authority.
Requirements:
Must reside in the lower 48 United States with reliable access to major transportation routes.
Ability to willingness to travel up to 70%, including with limited or no advance notice. Ability to stay multiple nights as needed, including weekends and holidays.
Availability for emergency response outside of standard business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is required. Advance coordination of time off is expected.
Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor appropriate for an op-property hotel setting.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and Real ID-compliant identification.
Must be able to travel by personal vehicle, rental vehicle, and commercial air.
Must be able to successfully complete a criminal background check in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and company policy.
This position requires regular use of a personal vehicle to perform job-related duties. The employee must maintain a personal vehicle in safe operating condition and carry state-required insurance coverage.
The company will provide mileage reimbursement at the then-current IRS standard rate for business-related travel only. Mileage reimbursement will be issued based on complete and accurate documentation provided by the employee detailing the date, purpose, and miles driven for each business trip. Personal travel and commuting miles are not eligible for reimbursement.
Physical Demands:
Prolonged periods of computer use and phone-based communication.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. independently (team lift up to 100 lbs.) and to perform physical tasks such as working with tools, climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, squatting, or working in confined or elevated spaces.
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
