Garver - Assistant General Manager

We're hiring an Assistant General Manager to help lead our pizza-making team, learn new skills, and have fun while earning $50,000+ annually + benefits.

Your Impact

As the AGM, you will work closely with the GM to ensure successful operations in all departments (FOH, Kitchen, and Delivery) and a positive work culture that aligns with our Vision, Values, and Big Five Code of Conduct. Success is measured in customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction, and profitability.

You'll start your training at one of our Madison restaurants, spending about 10 weeks learning general operations and about 13 weeks learning management skills. Then you will transfer to your restaurant to start in your role. During your training, you will learn how to...

• Train general staff and Shift Leaders.
• Conduct staff reviews.
• Place product orders and manage inventory.
• Maintain successful vendor relationships.
• Facilitate Open Book Finance practices.
• Maintain the 2-4 week staff schedule per company standards.
• Develop new systems to improve overall store performance.

What You Bring to the Team

We're looking for a problem-solver and big-picture thinker with a scrappy, can-do attitude to help lead our busiest restaurants. Ian's Pizza isn't your typical cookie-cutter spot. We do things our own way. We're looking for an Assistant General Manager who's eager to learn our culture, contribute their own experience, and bring fresh ideas to the table.

• 2+ years of AGM or GM experience in the food and beverage industry is required.
• Quick Service Restaurant, or fast casual dining, experience is a plus.

• Must be Food Manager (ServSafe or Learn2Serve) Certified OR able to complete the certification in the first 6 months of employment.
• Must be Safe Alcohol Server Training (ServSafe or Learn2Serve) Certified OR able to complete the certification in the first 6 months of employment.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods. To bend, crouch, and lift up to 50 lbs. To use ovens, pizza cutters, and other equipment of the business.
• Reliable transportation to and from the restaurants for a variety of shift times.
• English proficiency is required. Bilingual in Spanish is a major plus

Scheduling

AGMs are salaried for 40 hours a week. Any time worked over 40 hours is considered overtime and is paid as such. Each week, you will spend about 20-30 hours in operations/on-shift and about 15-20 hours on administration, projects, and meetings. Your operational work and meeting schedules are posted 2-4 weeks in advance.

Our restaurants are most busy on evenings and weekends, so availability for these shifts is required. As a leader in the restaurant, you will work with the leadership team to be available for emergencies and help find coverage or cover shifts as needed.
