The KDKA Creative Services department oversees television commercial production for the station, production of a lifestyle entertainment program called "Pittsburgh Today Live," production of a news/talk program called "Talk Pittsburgh," and production of all marketing/promotional campaigns for the station.

KDKA-TV/CBS News Pittsburgh seeks a creative and ambitious intern with a love of journalism and video production to join our award-winning creative services teams. You will learn all aspects of studio and on-location production, from ideating/scripting, to producing and directing, to editing and design. With this opportunity, the right candidate will be exposed to numerous career paths in the journalism, production and creative services fields. Primary responsibilities will include:

• Providing daily production assistance on both "Pittsburgh Today Live" and "Talk Pittsburgh"
• Acting as production assistant on remote commercial productions
• Writing, shooting and editing support for daily news promotion

Eligibility: 

• Internships are available to students who will be Seniors or Master's students in the fall of 2026. If you are a graduating Senior, please check our website for full-time job opportunities.
• You must be available to intern full-time (5 days a week/36-40 hours a week) for 10 weeks total starting in June.
• Interns will be required to work fully on-site for the duration of the program. Note: Paramount does not provide financial relocation support or housing stipends.
• Internships are paid at a competitive standard hourly rate (school credit is optional).
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.
• Employment eligibility to work with Paramount in the United States is required as the company does not engage in sponsorship for internships.

The hourly rate for this position is $21.0. 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
