Remote Contract Role: Interim Accounting & Finance Manager role at a portfolio company of PE firm

Rapidly growing, private equity-backed IT field services provider specializing in innovative technology solutions for data centers and large enterprise clients with dense IT environments. With $150M in revenues and a strong track record of success, they are poised for their next stage of growth, including potential M&A activity and a future sale process.

  • Title: Interim Accounting & Finance Manager (2-month contract role starting asap)
  • Compensation: $70-$80/hour
  • Reporting to: CFO
  • Location: Remote in the US
  • Duration: 2 months (start asap and go until the end of January)
  • Hours per week: 40 hours per week + overtime if needed

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations & Controls

  • Help with month-end/year-end close, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
  • Help realign the Chart of Accounts to align with the company's evolving business model and reporting needs.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc financial reporting packages for executive leadership.
  • Identify trends, variances, and operational drivers to support informed decision-making.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Cash Flow Management

  • Lead short-term and long-term cash flow forecasting, including scenario modeling.
  • Support annual budgeting and ongoing reforecasting cycles.
  • Partner with business leaders to provide data-driven insights into spend, resource needs, and financial performance.
    Financial Modeling

Qualifications

  • 4-7+ years of progressive experience in Accounting and Finance role
  • Strong command of NetSuite (required).
  • Demonstrated experience with cash flow forecasting, budgeting, FP&A processes, and financial modeling.
  • Prior success reworking or restructuring a Chart of Accounts.
  • Strong analytical mindset & data skills
  • CPA or relevant certification preferred but not required.
  • Experience in high-growth, PE-backed, or transformation-stage companies a plus.
