Job Summary

The Tinning Associate is responsible for accurately and efficiently packaging finished gummy products into tins (or other containers) while adhering to strict quality control and food safety standards. This role involves working as part of a production line team to ensure that all products are prepared for distribution according to company specifications.

Background in Machine Operations a plus

Hours: 9:30- 6:00 pm Mon-Thu

7:30-4:30 pm Fridays

Key Responsibilities

  • Manual Packaging: Sort and place finished gummies into tins in a neat and orderly fashion, ensuring the correct count or weight for each container.
  • Quality Control: Conduct visual inspections of gummies for defects (e.g., shape, color, contamination) and remove any non-conforming products from the line.
  • Assembly: Assemble packaging materials (e.g., tins, lids) and ensure that all tins are properly sealed and prepared for the next stage of packaging or shipping.
  • Labeling and Documentation: Apply necessary labels, including product information, batch numbers, and expiration dates. Complete accurate production logs and batch records as required by Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Work Area Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, which includes performing cleaning and sanitization duties at the end of a shift or between product runs.
  • Material Handling: Stock the work station with necessary packaging supplies and assist with organizing finished goods on pallets.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Attention to Detail: Strong ability to spot product defects and ensure accuracy in counting/weighing and labeling.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, perform repetitive tasks, and occasionally lift up to 25-50 pounds.
  • Reliability: Punctual and dependable, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Compliance: Understanding of and ability to follow food safety regulations, hygiene rules, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Communication: Good verbal communication skills to coordinate with team members and report issues to supervisors.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other team members, including production operators and quality control personnel, to meet daily production targets and maintain a smooth workflow.
  • Work Environment
  • This role typically operates in a food manufacturing and warehouse facility . Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as gloves, hairnets, lab coat and safety glasses, may be required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $19.00 per hour
