THE OPPORTUNITY

Rochester based manufacturer and distributor of niche products serving a variety of industries nationally and worldwide is seeking a career-minded, positive, energetic, hard working Production Associate. Successful candidates must:

SUMMARY

Position involves manual labor and machine operation in fulfilling orders that require precision cutting, assembling, packing, and shipping. Operates and troubleshoots production line machinery.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate production machinery
  • Troubleshoot production line machinery and perform preventative maintenance
  • Perform equipment change-overs
  • Responsible for quality control
  • Make adjustments as necessary to produce product within specifications
  • Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Operate pallet jack to maintain raw material supply for the production
  • Communicate with operators across floor in a teaming environment
  • Clean and maintain work area
  • Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WORKING IN MANUFACTURING
  • Ability to read and understand production orders, drawings and work instructions
  • Ability to use measuring devices (calipers, etc)
  • Good mechanical skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic reading and writing
  • Strong math skills, ability to read measurements, convert fractions to decimals
  • Manual dexterity required for operating machinery
  • Familiar with computers
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds required

WORKING CONDITIONS

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to 75 pounds. Hours are 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday with potential for overtime as required.
