The HRIS Workday Analyst serves as a subject matter expert in one or more Workday modules (e.g., Core HCM, Benefits, Recruiting, Compensation). This role is responsible for more complex configurations, reporting, and process improvements.
- For this position, our preference will be a candidate that is based in Utah near our headquarters. However, we will consider remote for the right individual.
Here's what you'll do
- Configure and maintain Workday modules with minimal supervision.
- Design and run advanced reports and dashboards; perform data analysis for HR initiatives.
- Act as a liaison between HR and IT to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Participate in system upgrades, testing, and release management.
- Train HR team members and end users on Workday best practices.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions.
- Act as a Workday SME to business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with functional and technical staff to coordinate the application of upgrades or fixes
- Recommend process and customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes, and/or major variations from established policy, which must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation
- Maintain HRIS system database, integrations, and security
Here's what you'll need to be successful
Minimum Qualifications
- 2–5 years of HRIS experience, with direct experience in Workday configuration.
- In-depth knowledge of at least one Workday module.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Workday reporting (e.g., custom reports, calculated fields).
- Bachelor's degree in HR, IT, or related field.
- Experience with Organizational Change Management
Preferred Qualifications
- Workday Pro Certification
- Workday Integration and EIB experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) credential
- Experience with multiple Workday modules

- Workday (intermediate)
- Excel (pivot tables, conditional formatting, basic formulas)
- Ability to translate HR business needs into system requirements
- Comfortable working with cross-functional teams (HR, IT, Finance)
- Self-starter who can work with minimal guidance
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects
