Medical Receptionist

Orange City, Florida, United States FIRST STEP THERAPY Full time $60,000 - $90,000 per year

First Step Therapy is seeking a Medical Receptionist for our Orange City clinic. The position is Monday- Friday 9:30-6:30 pm

First Step Therapy provides physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and ABA therapy to children in the clinic setting. We also service children in homes.

This position is full-time.

Receptionist and customer service experience preferred.

Bilingual required.

Candidate must have Outstanding and Professional customer service and communication skills. Accurately enter patient demographics, medical history, and insurance information into medical records system within a timely manner. Answer continuous phone calls in a high call volume setting. Must be able to verify information and work with other departments. Facilitate phone calls from physician offices and patients.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Positive attitude and attention to detail is a MUST
  • 2 years medical office experience.
  • Scheduling, cancellation management
  • 2 years customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act)
  • Knowledge of general office equipment
  • General mathematical skills
  • Great organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Must be self motivated to fill various job responsibilities and willingness to cross train to other departments.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and Saturdays as needed.
  • Hours 8am to 6pm availability

Experience:

  • customer service: 2 years (Preferred)
  • healthcare: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Receptionist: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Bilingual Spanish

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
