The Role:

Key responsibilities for this role include working closely with the senior team to help manage day-to-day operations of client accounts, execute tactics, and produce deliverables as specified in client programs. Senior Account Executives will learn how to manage/run accounts from team members senior to themselves. Helping in the management of an account includes the overall success of the account, along with owning the client relationship, ensuring high-quality service and results, and coaching and training team members.

Senior Account Executives are strategic thinkers, contributing high impact ideas to plans and programs. They support in the management, mentorship and coaching of junior team members. Senior Account Executives drive media coverage for our clients and write compelling content that reflects the clients' voice and messaging. Senior Account Executives participate in agency marketing and social media efforts. Additionally, the ideal Senior Account Executive actively seeks opportunities to expand their skills, thinking, professional acumen, and, ultimately, their career.

*We are open to candidates in both Boston, MA and Richmond, VA.

What You'll Do:


•  Media Relations: Grow and solidify strong relationships with business, technology, broadcast and influencer media and analysts to identify and work with reporters and influencers to secure coverage on behalf of our clients. Coach junior team members in building their media relations skills.


•  Content Creation: Ability to effectively develop full range of written materials including client correspondence, press releases, media pitches, briefing sheets, speaking abstracts, etc. Review junior team members' work to ensure client readiness.


•  Client Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of the high-tech industry, as well as deep knowledge of clients' business, and the ability to translate that knowledge into solid PR counsel and results.


•  Client Relations: Provide quality counsel to clients. Manage client meetings, ensure materials for discussion are client ready. Review client measurement presentations. As a key contributor to projects and programs, you build trust with the client point of contact and teams; demonstrate professional conduct and demeanor; analyze, contextualize, and frame information from various sources, with a view toward development of strategic recommendations.


•  Account Management: Support programs and projects from kickoff through goal achievement. Manage client calls and meetings with little supervision. Manage both up and down, ensuring teams are meeting their deadlines and goals.


•  Agency Operations: Contribute to agency marketing efforts including awards and social media posts. Participate and provide ideas to the new business process, creating baseline decks/proposals. Provide input on hiring decisions and annual reviews for junior team members. Coach and create opportunities for junior team members. Always represent Wireside well. Track time and support general agency operational tasks.

•  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


•  Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.


•  Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.


•  Understanding of social community management and best practices and platforms


•  Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.


•  Commitment to personal accountability.

Requirements:


•  3+ years of Public Relations, Marketing, Communications experience, or related industry.


•  Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, English or related area of study.


•  Superb organizational, project and time management skills to meet deadlines.


•  Strong ability to write clearly and concisely.


•  Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively articulate ideas to clients, colleagues and team members.


•  Passion for creating excellent high-quality deliverables.


•  Strong spirit of collaboration, highly self-motivated and results-driven with a can-do attitude.


•  1+ years mentoring experience.

Preferred: previous experience in B2B, high-tech sector, agency or corporate. Use of tools such as Cision, Agility PR, Muck Rack, PitchEngine, Business Wire, HARO, Meltwater, or similar standard PR tools/software.
