Job Description:

The Sr. Accounting Specialist supports day-to-day accounting operations in a high-volume environment. This role handles invoice processing, three-way matching, vendor account reconciliation, payroll hour entry, reporting, and general accounting tasks. The position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to resolve discrepancies, and support month-end close, audits, and other accounting functions with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process, code, and post invoices with proper documentation.
  • Perform three-way matching and ensure timely supplier payments.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and accounts.
  • Maintain SOX compliance and support internal/external audits.
  • Assist with month-end close and correct general ledger entries.
  • Prepare reports, account reconciliations, and payroll hour processing.
  • Resolve vendor and internal discrepancies quickly.
  • Support AR, journal entries, billing, and other accounting tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 2–4 year degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of accounting/payroll experience.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Excel, Outlook, and data entry (10-key by touch).
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and CA labor/tax laws.
