Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a fast-paced clinic environment. This role requires proficiency in medical terminology and familiarity with medical scheduling systems to ensure efficient patient flow and care.

Duties

  • Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
  • Manage phone systems to handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, and address patient inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and care plans.
  • Process insurance information and verify patient eligibility.
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care.
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the reception area.

Experience

  • Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, care plans, and medical scheduling practices is essential.
  • Proficient in using computerized systems for record keeping and scheduling.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with patients and staff.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Epic experience a plus
