As part of the Sonos team, you'll collaborate with people of all styles, skill sets, and backgrounds to realize our vision while fostering a community where everyone feels included and empowered to do the best work of their lives.

This role is a hybrid position

The Role

At Sonos, we're passionate about creating sound experiences that inspire the world, and it all starts with our people. As we grow, we're focused on strengthening how we find and hire exceptional talent. The Director of Talent Acquisition will enhance and scale our recruiting function to meet the evolving needs of the business and our teams.

In this role, you'll serve as a key partner to leaders across Sonos, ensuring our talent strategy aligns with business goals, financial health, and long-term growth. You'll bring deep recruiting expertise, using data, market insights, and workforce planning to inform executive decisions on talent, location strategy, and resource allocation.

You'll champion a philosophy of talent density, attracting and hiring high-impact individuals who elevate Sonos' capability and culture. In partnership with the TA Programs Lead, you'll help design sourcing and assessment strategies to reach top-tier, hard-to-find talent critical to our innovation pipeline.

What You'll Do:

  • Strategic Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing global recruiting team. Set clear goals, coach for growth, and translate business priorities into hiring plans. Drive accountability for key metrics like time-to-hire and quality-of-hire.

  • Executive Partnership: Partner with executives to standardize rigorous, unbiased assessment processes and act as a trusted advisor on the talent landscape, compensation, and workforce planning.

  • Candidate Experience & Employer Branding: Create an inclusive and consistent candidate experience that reflects the Sonos brand, and collaborate with Marketing to amplify our employer brand globally.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Use data and insights to guide hiring decisions, improve processes, and present key metrics that optimize pipeline and sourcing effectiveness.

  • Sourcing Strategy: Develop and implement sourcing strategies to engage exceptional talent, including passive candidates critical to Sonos' innovation goals.

  • Technology & Process Optimization: Optimize recruiting tools (ATS, CRM) and technology roadmap to maximize efficiency, data integrity, and global scalability through simplification and automation.

  • Offer Management & Compliance: Oversee offer and closing processes, ensuring a fair, competitive approach by partnering with our Total Rewards team.

  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner with the broader People Leadership and teams on training, workforce planning, and succession to ensure a seamless transition from recruitment to onboarding.

What You'll Need

Basic qualifications:

  • Extensive Recruiting Leadership: Possess a minimum of 8 years of progressive recruiting experience, including leading and developing teams in fast-paced, high-growth environments

  • Proven ability to design, implement, and optimize recruiting strategies that align with business goals and workforce plans

  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of building, coaching, and scaling distributed recruiting teams

  • Demonstrated success influencing executive decisions through recruiting data, market insights, and strong business acumen

  • Deep experience using modern recruiting systems (ATS, CRM, and sourcing tools) and analytics to measure and improve performance

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, including experience engaging with senior leaders across HR, Finance, and Product

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in technology or similarly complex, mid-sized organizations

  • Experience improving recruiting processes and using data to inform business decisions
