Quality Assurance Practice Lead

About the role
Auxo Solutions is seeking an experienced Practice Lead to lead our Quality Assurance (QA) function. This role involves overseeing key processes across performance testing, functional testing, API testing, automated testing, penetration and manual, while also working closely with project teams and vendors. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with a modern tools like Playwright or Cypress and exposure to DevOps (AWS or Azure), be able to think about QA strategically as well as the ability to report confidently on testing results and guide best practices internally and for Auxo's clients.
What you'll do
- Oversee and drive the execution of testing activities across multiple disciplines such as performance, functional, API, automated, penetration and manual setups.
- Partner directly with 3rd-party vendors, ensuring that external testing efforts align with Auxo's quality standards.
- Write automation test scripts leveraging Playwright or similar automation testing frameworks.
- Support the integration of QA processes with DevOps practices, with a focus on AWS or Azure environments for automated testing as part of the CI/CD process.
- Confidently report on testing outcomes, challenges, and risks to stakeholders at all levels, providing actionable insights.
- Collaborate with project teams to establish and maintain QA best practices, ensuring consistency across projects.
- Partner with development, product management, and operations teams to ensure quality is built into the development lifecycle.
- Identify areas for improvement in the testing process and implement changes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reliability.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to QA teams and stakeholders, fostering a culture of continuous learning and quality improvement.
Qualifications
- At least 6 years' of experience in QA roles with a focus on performance, functional, API, automated, penetration and manual testing.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright or Cypress for test automation, along with AWS or Azure for automated testing with CI/CD.
- Demonstrated experience working in the consulting industry, with the ability to adapt QA strategies to different companies needs and cultures.
- Strong preference for Insurance/Insurtech industry experience.
- Proven experience managing or working closely with 3rd-party vendors in a QA capacity.
- Experience performing Manual Testing with tools and frameworks that make testing manageable Experience working within an Agile and Scrum team Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with the Serverless Framework and experience working with Azure Functions/AWS Lambda Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or Gatling.

- Candidates must be able to accommodate a working schedule of 8:30am - 5:30pm EST.
