We are seeking a detail‑oriented and client‑focused Office Attorney to consult with landlords, initiate cases, prepare notices, and serve as the primary point of contact between clients and the firm.

Role Description

This is a client‑facing role ideal for an attorney who excels at counseling, organization, and getting cases moving efficiently. You will consult clients, start cases, prepare notices, and coordinate seamlessly with the motion and trial teams to position matters for swift, effective resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial and ongoing client consultations via telephone; evaluate tenancy issues and recommend legal pathways.
  • Prepare and review statutory notices (e.g., 3‑Day Notices to Pay Rent or Quit, Notices to Perform or Quit, 30/60‑Day Notices to Terminate Tenancy), ensuring legal sufficiency and accuracy.
  • Open new matters; coordinate service of process and initial case logistics.
  • Serve as the primary client liaison, provide updates, answer questions, set expectations, and manage document flow.
  • Draft stipulations, settlement agreements, and routine correspondence.
  • Track relevant local ordinances and court/local rule requirements; escalate complex issues to senior attorneys as needed.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • California Bar admission (active, in good standing).
  • Strong client‑communication skills and professional bedside manner; ability to translate legal concepts into practical guidance.
  • Attention to detail; high volume/multi‑matter management skills.
  • Experience in landlord‑tenant law and unlawful detainer practice is a plus.
  • Team‑oriented with the judgment to work independently.
