Job Title: Floor Supervisor

Reports to: Restaurant Manager / General Manager

Department: Front of House (FOH)

Job Summary:

As the Floor Supervisor of our new Italian restaurant, you will oversee daily front-of-house operations to ensure outstanding guest experiences. You will lead and support service staff, maintain service standards, and ensure the smooth running of the dining area, always reflecting the warmth and hospitality of authentic Italian dining.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise front-of-house staff (servers, bussers, hosts) during shifts.
  • Ensure smooth service flow and timely table turns, especially during peak hours.
  • Greet and interact with guests, addressing concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
  • Train, coach, and motivate team members to deliver high standards of service.
  • Conduct opening and closing duties, including floor checks and staff briefings.
  • Monitor cleanliness, ambience, and presentation of the dining area.
  • Assist in shift planning.
  • Enforce restaurant policies, hygiene standards, and health/safety regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar teams to ensure efficient service.
  • Support special events or VIP guest experiences as needed.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a similar role in hospitality or high-end casual dining.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Passion for food, wine, and delivering memorable dining experiences.
  • Familiarity with Italian cuisine and service style is a plus.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and multitask effectively.
  • Knowledge of POS systems (e.g., Toast, Square, etc.).
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
