Overnight Floor Supervisor

Job Title: Floor Supervisor

Location: 458 Danbury Road, New Milford CT

Schedule: Monday - Friday ( 10PM-6:30AM)

Summary

In the Floor Supervisor position, you'll work closely with our Factory Production Staff (Machine Operators, Packers, and Palletizers) and Factory Management team to ensure that LesserEvil's Factory Operations are safe, running at optimal speed and producing top quality products. In this role you will be expected to lead the factory production floor to problem solve, achieve goals and produce high-quality (and delicious) snacks.

Responsibilities:

• Directing and managing the Factory Production Floor during your assigned shift.
• Ultimate responsibility for product quality on all lines during your assigned shift.
• Supporting the Machine Operators with their assigned tasks and duties, including:
• Managing the correct speed on the production line.
• Overseeing the packaging/film and inspecting the seal and alignment in addition to confirming the product and language match the production plan.
• Verifying that case labels are correct and in compliance.
• The overall cleanliness of the production line.
• Directing the packers and palletizers on their assigned production line, making sure that operations are running smoothly and safely.
• Maintaining all required documentation for quality control and GMP compliance.
• Coordinating the break and lunch schedule for your assigned shift.
• Maintaining all policies on safety standards and protocol for the factory.
• Responsible for creating placement chart for the day
• Ensure all pre op inspections are complete
• Effectively strategize and plan to keep employee morale and engagement high, especially during times of change.
• Communicate with upper management to give feedback on operational issues and improvements.
• Utilizing a continuous improvement mindset by recommending improvements to processes and procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned and special projects as designated.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent work experience
• 1+ years of factory production experience
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work without direct supervision
• Ability to collaborate with different departments

Working Conditions

• Meeting standards of GMP/SQF
• Able to work safely in loud, automated machine intense areas.
• Able to work in conditions that may be loud, wet, and/or dusty from airborne particles
• Able to work in conditions with unregulated/varying temperatures
• Able to work in conditions where floors may be slippery due to environmental hazards (ex. raw materials overflow, splashing of water in sanitation area, etc.)
• Able to work in conditions where PPE may be required (Respirator, face mask, etc.)
• Prolonged periods of standing, bending, sitting, kneeling, crouching or climbing.
• Climbing ladders and/or stairs.
• Comfortable working from a mezzanine with active machinery
• Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Able to bend, lift, pull, and push

Eligibility Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Must be willing to work in Danbury, CT
• Must have a reliable vehicle as daily trips between factory, warehouse, and office will be necessary
