We're growing fast and looking for a detail-oriented, financially savvy Billing Specialist to join our in-office team and help us make a lasting impact on families across rural Nebraska.

What You'll Do

As our Billing Specialist (this is an in-office position), you'll be the financial heartbeat of our operations — ensuring every hour of care is billed accurately, every payment is tracked, and every question gets answered with care.

  • Responding to client billing inquiries with empathy and clarity
  • Tracking Medicaid/VA authorizations and Share of Cost (SOC)
  • Entering payments, garnishments, and journal entries in WellSky & QuickBooks
  • Performing bank reconciliations, reports, and audits
  • Supporting month-, quarter-, and year-end financial statements
What We're Looking For
  • 2+ years of bookkeeping, billing, payroll, or accounting experience
  • QuickBooks proficiency (required)
  • Excel and Word skills (intermediate or better)
  • Organized, detail-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Healthcare billing or EVV experience is a plus
  • Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred (not required)
Why You'll Love Working Here
  • Forbes Certified Great Place to Work (2024 & 2025)
  • Competitive pay based on experience
  • Weekly pay
  • Flexible schedule (in-office with occasional remote flexibility)
  • PTO + Paid Holidays
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Health, dental, vision, and life insurance
  • Employee discounts through Vizient
  • A supportive, mission-driven team that celebrates your contributions
