What you'll do

  • Provide outstanding customer service by welcoming guests and taking their orders with enthusiasm.
  • Utilize Aloha POS or Micros POS systems to accurately process orders and manage payments.
  • Demonstrate culinary expertise by offering menu recommendations and upselling specials to enhance the dining experience.
  • Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met while handling and serving food.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
  • Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area to create a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Engage with guests to build rapport, address any concerns, and ensure satisfaction throughout their visit.
  • Support host/host duties as needed, managing reservations through OpenTable or similar systems.

Basic qualifications

  • Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is essential.
  • Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables and tasks simultaneously.
  • Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order processing.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in fine dining establishments or nightclubs is a plus.
  • Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen operations enhances your effectiveness in this role.
  • Proven ability to build guest relations through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
