Role Description

We are seeking a
Senior/Principal Data Scientist - Research Analytics
to join our team at our Cambridge, MA location. This is a full-time, on-site role. In this role, you will lead the development and application of cutting-edge data science methodologies to solve complex problems related to healthcare and drug development. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing predictive models, analyzing large-scale clinical and real-world datasets, collaborating cross-functionally to derive actionable insights, and enhancing decision-making through robust data solutions. The role will require leadership skills to mentor teams and contribute to strategic initiatives that support UCB's patient-centric mission.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Predictive Modeling
  • Strong skills in Statistical Analysis, Programming (e.g., Python, R), and Data Visualization
  • Experience with Big Data Analytics, Cloud Computing (e.g., AWS, Azure), and Data Engineering
  • Knowledge of Healthcare Data, including Real-World Evidence (RWE), Clinical Data, and Biostatistics
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
  • Experience leading and mentoring data science teams
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate across cross-functional teams
  • Preferred qualifications: Ph.D. or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Biostatistics, or related field; experience in biopharma or healthcare industries
