Position Type: Contract-to-Close

Are you a seasoned mortgage professional who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment? We're looking for an exceptional Loan Officer Assistant to support our top-producing Loan Officer from contract to close, ensuring every borrower, Realtor, and partner experiences WOW-level service.

In this critical role, you will handle file management, coordinate with all transaction parties, and ensure smooth loan closings. If you're the type of person who loves systems, thrives on communication, and can manage deadlines like a pro – we want to hear from you

Top 3 Responsibilities (and How You'll Be Measured):

Deliver WOW-Level Service (Contract to Close)

  • 90%+ of borrower/Realtor surveys rated 8 or higher
  • 3 Client Contact Referrals (CCRs) per month
  • 100% weekly status updates via email and phone

Flawless File Management from Contract to Closing

  • 100% of dates and deadlines met across all files

Ensure On-Time Closing Documents

  • 90% of files have docs to title 48 hours before closing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate communication with borrowers, Realtors, builders, and business partners
  • Manage files using our CRM and Encompass systems
  • Obtain necessary borrower conditions and assist with documentation
  • Submit complete files to processing within 24 hours of the borrower meeting
  • Monitor investor guidelines and AUS requirements
  • Schedule client meetings (in-person or virtual)
  • Communicate approval letters and weekly status to all involved parties
  • Coordinate closing details and review all final documentation
  • Assist the Loan Officer as needed
  • Maintain consistent client and Realtor follow-up and relationship-building

What You Bring:

  • 5+ years in mortgage processing, underwriting, or origination
  • Proven experience with DU/DO, LP, and major origination systems
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and mortgage pricing engines
  • Strong understanding of major investor guidelines
  • NMLS registration & license required
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, dependable, and proactive
  • A positive attitude and a genuine passion for helping people

Compensation:

$55,000 - $75,000 yearly

Responsibilities:

  • Answer questions from customers or employees regarding transactions and give quotes when required to deliver excellent customer service
  • Build and maintain relationships with borrowers and referral partners to keep our current customers and attract new ones
  • Review all loan package documentation for discrepancies, omissions, and income calculation then report any discrepancies to the loan originator
  • Orchestrate the completion of loan applications, coordinate the collection of documentation including credit reports, run DU/LP/AUS, prepare the file for processing, and send a closing cost worksheet to borrowers
  • Serve as the primary contact during the "contact to contract" phase of the loan process and liaison between clients, referral partners, and the loan officer and conduct meetings to coordinate any follow-up items

Qualifications:

  • Must have current working knowledge of mortgage loan products (FHA/VA/CONV/USDA) and knowledge of mortgage procedures, processes, and documentation
  • Excellent time management, interpersonal, communication, and follow-up skills
  • Extensive experience with automated underwriting systems such LP and DU
  • At least 2 years of previous experience fulfilling the roles of an LOA/Loan Partner, Processor, Loan Officer and/or Underwriter, 5+ years preferred
  • Capable of analyzing credit reports, income, and asset documents, and can structure a loan properly in a variety of ways
