Under general supervision, work at this level involves performing recurring traditional

accounting functions such as posting entries, reconciling ledgers, journals, worksheets and accounts, processing deposits, and preparing various standardized accounting reports.

Job Duties: Assisting State Agency personnel with deposits; check processing and deposit balancing using Remote Deposit Capture software. Agency Credit Card Receipt processing and journal entries in the State Accounting Systems. Create ACH debit files for Agencies using banking software. Warrant clearing files. Reconciliation of bank accounts. Create, approve, or post accounting entries. Answering customer service calls and assisting other staff. Other duties as assigned within the scope of the classification.

Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Experience performing accounting functions.

Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and attention to detail; computer experience with knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe; and communication skills. Banking and accounting knowledge and experience with JD Edwards/Oracle (State accounting software) helpful but not required.

Other: Regular and reliable attendance is required.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: The ability to be discreet when handling sensitive financial information. Ability to multitask. Knowledge of banking debits and credits.
