Human Resources AI Intern

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and develop AI-powered tools to automate HR tasks such as candidate screening, onboarding, and employee support.
- Build and test conversational bots to assist employees with HR-related inquiries and self-service tasks.
- Analyze HR data (e.g., engagement surveys, turnover trends, performance metrics) using machine learning to uncover actionable insights.
- Collaborate with HR, IT, and Operations teams to identify opportunities for AI integration in workforce planning, talent development, and labor forecasting.
- Prototype and deploy intelligent agents that support internal HR help desks, policy navigation, and training recommendations.
- Support the development of predictive models for attrition risk, hiring success, and employee satisfaction.
- Evaluate and recommend AI platforms and tools that align with CH Guenther's HR technology roadmap.
- Document project outcomes, technical workflows, and recommendations for scaling AI solutions across the organization.
- Ensure ethical and responsible AI practices in all HR-related applications, with attention to bias mitigation and data privacy.
- Present findings and prototypes to HR leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Education/Certifications and Experience:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with AI/ML frameworks or chatbot platforms.
- Microsoft Copilot Studio.
- ChatGPT Teams.
- Microsoft Power Platform.
- Automation Anywhere.
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or other relevant programming languages.
- Interest in HR, organizational development, or business process improvement.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Prior experience with generative AI, LLMs, or agent-based systems is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient use of a computer, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote), and other related applications or software.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and possesses the ability to develop interdepartmental relationships
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of associates and customers ranging from entry level to executive level positions.
- Ability to work with multiple departments within CHG.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, often with competing deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize projects and clearly communicate direction internally and externally.

- Typical work in a home or office environment.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up and carry 15 pounds at times.
- Must be reside in San Antonio.
