Human Resources Coordinator

SUMMARY: Plans and carries out the implementation of policies relating to all phases of human resources activity. Also manages the payroll processing. Interacts extensively with management to provide feedback on Human Resource issues. Manages the human resource information system and plans/coordinates the organization's training activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
This position carries a very high level of required discretion and maintaining confidential information is germane to the position.
Be able to completely run and administrate the payroll system including the upkeep, maintenance and successfully completion of the bi-weekly pay cycle.
Ensure that proper benefits packages are assigned to proper personnel and adjusted pay rates are managed.
Interact and able to talk to upper management on HR issues and plans.
Recruits, interviews, and selects employees to fill vacant positions.
Develops new policies and procedures and ensures proper communications regarding related activities.
Plans, facilitates, and develops employee meetings and training programs. Follows up on effectiveness of training programs to review appropriateness of subject matter.
Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
Responds to questions from employees and managers regarding policy interpretation.
Administers records of insurance coverage, pension plan, and personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations.
Provides 401k administration, makes appropriate entries, maintains contributions and reports, employment census and attendance records.
Runs reports and manages the Human Resources Information System. Coordinates all data input required for the HRIS effective and accurate use.
Maintain filing systems.
Prepares weekly and monthly reports.
Complete letters, memos, standards, and assist with projects as needed.
