The Advanced Studies Program at St. Paul's School announces a search for the position of College Counselor for a five-week intensive academic program running mid-June through July of 2026. Preference will be given to returning candidates. The 2026 ASP College Counselor dates of employment are June 18 - July 27, 2026. Classes take place Monday through Saturday, with additional study hours on Sunday evening.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position includes holding 30-45 minute one-on-one meetings with ASP students for personalized college guidance counseling in the afternoons (after lunch) and in the evenings, throughout the duration of the program. Additional responsibilities include co-facilitating weekly evening workshops for students as well as the annual College Day for students and their families (this includes a keynote speaker, an admission fair of 55-65 colleges, small group information sessions, and a college panel, all organized with the support of an Assistant Director). College counselors will plan and chaperone 2 college tours for students during the program. College counselors attend Chapel services four mornings a week and faculty meetings on Wednesdays during lunch.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

A bachelor's degree (or higher). A successful candidate will have two or more years of experience in college admission guidance at the secondary school or collegiate level with a demonstrated understanding of the current landscape of college admissions. A successful candidate will embrace the fully residential living experience and have a demonstrated gift for engaging a diverse student body.

The Advanced Studies Program, serving talented and engaged rising juniors and seniors from New Hampshire's public and parochial schools, is an initiative of St. Paul's School, a residential, co-educational secondary school in Concord, NH. COMPENSATION: This position will be compensated with a competitive stipend, and meals in the dining hall are included. Housing may be provided for teachers not from NH.
