Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee our culinary operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management, with a passion for delivering high-quality dining experiences. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, a keen understanding of kitchen operations, and the ability to train and develop staff effectively. The Kitchen Manager will ensure that all food preparation meets our standards for quality and safety while managing inventory and maintaining a smooth workflow in the kitchen.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food preparation and presentation
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste
  • Train, supervise, and develop kitchen staff to maintain high standards of performance
  • Implement food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations
  • Collaborate with management on budgeting and cost control measures
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha or Micros
  • Assist in menu planning and development to enhance customer satisfaction
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any dining concerns promptly
  • Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process for kitchen staff

Experience

  • Proven experience in kitchen management or a similar role within the food industry
  • Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation, cooking, and food handling
  • Familiarity with quick service, fast food, casual dining, or fine dining environments
  • Experience in supervising teams and managing shifts effectively
  • Knowledge of training & development practices for culinary staff
  • Background in hospitality management or restaurant management is preferred
  • Understanding of budgeting processes related to food production and service costs
  • Experience with catering services or banquet operations is a plus
