School/Church Security Officer

Protective Service Agency is immediately hiring experienced and dedicated security professionals to fill Church and School Security positions in a variety of contracts in the Los Angeles area. We are currently seeking officers to fill positions in Long Beach and Santa Monica. This listing is for an available position for Unarmed and Armed Church/School Security Security (Weekends/Part-time). This position is a temporary, part-time position but may also lead to full-time positions throughout summer and into the next school year.
Currently available shifts are below:
Thursdays at 6PM-10PM in Long Beach (ARMED)
Saturdays at 3PM-10PM in Santa Monica (UNARMED)
Sundays at 9AM-1PM (ARMED)
Sundays at 8:30AM-12:30PM in Santa Monica (ARMED)
Various additional shifts with holiday pay throughout November and December for holiday services. This position will lead into a full-time position for 7AM-3PM and 3PM-10PM at the school. We are screening candidates for this future position as well.
Candidates should be willing to work on Weekends and Holidays (Holiday pay rate is 1.5x standard rate for federal holidays)
Experience in security is required. Candidates for higher-level and armed positions should have significant training and certificates related to security, firearms, and medical training, as well as all related duty gear required. The ideal candidate is an individual who consistently seeks training in firearms and emergency medical care. Military and/or Law Enforcement experience is preferred, but not required. Must be willing to submit to random drug testing to maintain a safe work environment. Must have a clean criminal history and valid BSIS Licenses. We only hire the most professional and committed officers for positions.
We will be holding phone interviews this week. Qualifying candidates can begin working as soon as this weekend. We are looking for skilled, experienced, and most of all, RELIABLE officers.
PSA is now interviewing and hiring reliable, experienced officers to begin company training tomorrow and start working as soon as next week. We are looking for individuals that are interested in the opportunity and will help grow the business as we expand aggressively.
Experienced Officers preferred. For most positions starting wage is $30.00 hourly. Higher wages for officers with extensive training and experience. Apply and send your resume now.
Qualifications:
-Over the age of 21
-High School Diploma or GED
-California Driver's License
-Eligible to legally work in the U.S.
-Valid Guard Card and Exposed Firearm Permit (if applying for Armed positions)
-Spanish speaking preferred, but not required
-Training beyond initial firearms permit training
Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol school premises to ensure a safe environment for students and staff.
- Respond to incidents and conflicts, utilizing conflict management skills to de-escalate situations.
- Operate surveillance equipment, including CCTV, to maintain security oversight.
- Provide first aid and CPR when necessary, ensuring the well-being of individuals on campus.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents and security activities.
